The 2013 Volkswagen Amarok Highline 4MOTION helped redefine what a ute could be, combining genuine workhorse capability with the refinement, comfort and road manners Volkswagen is known for.

Unlike the manual 4MOTION Amaroks of the era, the automatic uses a permanent AWD system, so there's no need to constantly switch between two and four-wheel drive as conditions change. While it doesn't use a conventional low-range transfer case, its low first gear and electronic off-road systems provide impressive capability when you venture beyond the seal.

With a 3,000kg braked towing capacity, there's plenty of muscle for the boat, caravan or work trailer, while the spacious Double Cab provides comfortable seating for five.
