Amongst the many results achieved through the intense programmes run within Kia’s R&D Centre, all Kia gasoline models sold in New Zealand since 1996 will successfully operate via the Regulated Biofuels being offerred within our marketplace today.

The information that follows provides you some understanding of the Regulated Bio Fuels currently being offerred within the marketplace and the Kia Model ranges suitability for the use of those fuels.

Bio Ethanol & Bio Diesel blended fuels are now available through selected fuel outlets throughout New Zealand.

Bio Ethanol

All gasoline operated Kia Models sold new in New Zealand from are capable of running on gasoline containing up to a maximum of 10% Ethanol Blend. However, the use of Ethanol Blended Fuels must be discontinued should any kind of driveability concern become apparent.

Bio Diesel

All Kia Models sold in New Zealand and incorporating our Common Rail Diesel Injection Engine Technology are cabable of running on diesel containing up to a maximum of 5% Bio Diesel. However, the use of Bio Diesel Blended Fuels must be discontinued should any kind of driveability concern become apparent. 

Please note; if you are considering operating your vehicle on alternative Gasoline & Diesel fuels, outside of those available through the mainstream retail outlets, your new vehicle warranty could be heavily compromised and therefore void should engine related problems arise through its use.
